1. What is LMS?
A learning management systems used as a software application that helps create,manage, and deliver educational content. LMS provide lessons, assignments and quizzes through various formats.

2. Historical context of LMS at IUM :
IUM established the Center of Distance and e-Learning (CDeL) in 2021. It was established to address the evolving needs of students and leverage technological advancement in education.


4. Why IUM choose LMS for online education?

  • 1. Flexibility and Accessibility: 
Distance Learning- LMS platform allows IUM to Offer flexible learning options, including online courses and blended learning programs. This is especially beneficial for students who can not attend traditional on-campus classes due to geographical location, work commitments or other reasons.

Accessibility- LMS can provide students with 24/7 access to course materials, assignments, and communication tools, making education more accessible and convenient.
  • 2. Enhance course management:
Organization- LMS platform streamline course management tasks, such as creating announcements,  uploading course materials, tracking students progress, and grading assignments. This saves time for faculty and improves efficiency. 

Centralized platform- Lms provides a centralized hub for all course-related activities, making it easier for students and faculty to navigate and final necessary resources.
